This year marks the decade of the Support Don’t Punish Campaign.

Support Don’t Punish campaign is a global advocacy campaign that aims to raise awareness of the dangers posed by the war on drugs. The campaign calls for the development of policies that respect human rights, protect public health, and strengthen harm reduction services. The campaign also decisively calls for the decriminalization of people who use drugs.

On the campaign’s 10th anniversary, the Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association (MENAHRA) calls on all partners and colleagues in the MENA region to mobilize activities to raise the voice and build sustainable alternative policies based on harm reduction and decriminalization.

Last year, our message reached thousands in at least 260 cities from about 100 countries, including 7 countries and 10 cities from the MENA region.

On June 26, the United Nations’ International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking – which is also the campaign “Global Day of Action”. On this day let us show that change is possible.

We encourage you to organize various activities in your cities throughout the MENA region (some funding available to support activities).
