MENAHRA - This manual generally aims at guiding MENA countries on how to include a gender perspective and promote equality and human rights for women and girls in their harm reduction programs. It specifically aims at improving the uptake of the services for FWID in the MENA region. The manual is designed to provide information and guidance on strategies and interventions aiming at integrating gender-specific services into harm reduction programs. Read More

MENAHRA conference will include several presentations and lectures accounting experiences and strategies of harm reduction that have been adopted worldwide. Many associations, institutions, networks, groups and individuals will be invited to attend this conference, in addition to the regional UN offices and other official authorities working on harm reduction, HIV/AIDS, and drugs. إيران - أشارت إحصائيات أعلنت عنها وزارة الصحة الإيرانية عن الكشف عن 32 ألف شخص مصاب بفيروس نقص المناعة HIV "الإيدز". وفي مقابلة أجرتها وكالة إيسنا مع مدير شئون الإيدز في وزارة الصحة الإيرانية بارفين أفسركازرونى قال إن هذه الإحصائية تشير فقط إلى 30% من مصابى الفيرس، إلا أن حالات الإيدز كلها في البلاد تصل إلى 75 ألف شخص. تتمة

السودان - تلتزم السودان بتوفير سبل مكافحة الإيدز، والعمل مع كافة الجهات التي تعمل في هذا المجال من أجل الحد من انتشاره ومكافحته، بحسب وزير الصحة الاتحادي بحر إدريس أبو قردة، من جهته كشف ممثل منظمة الصحة العالمية محمد سيد أحمد أن أعداد المتعايشين مع الإيدز بالبلاد بلغت 56 ألف متعايش. تتمة
