DESCRIPTION:

MENA Rosa is the first regional network dedicated to women living with HIV in the Middle East and North Africa.
Our mission is to MENA Rosa support and empowers women and girls in their diversity and those living with HIV and women and girls at risk of infection; as well as their families and partners by developing their leadership and encouraging effective participation in response, advocacy, and networks; and raising awareness about care, treatment, support, prevention and quality of life.

MENA Rosa is looking to recruit a full-time Project Officer.

The Projects Officer will be responsible for supporting a portfolio of projects, ensuring result areas are achieved according to MENA Rosa’s strategy, donor requirements, and best practices using results-based management. She supports the Projects and the Regional Coordinator in project implementation and monitoring, ensuring deliverables are met according to each project’s planned outputs.

Duties and essential functions:

1- Programmatic:

Support the Projects and Regional Coordinators to write the Program Document/ Project Proposal to be submitted to the donor, especially in terms of conducting relevant research and desk review;
Under the supervision of the Projects Coordinator, develop implementation plans and report on programs’ progress to donors;
Support the update of programs/ projects schedules as needed to help in tracking and monitoring and ensure that they are adhered to during implementation;
Gather information and enter data into the related databases to support ongoing monitoring and evaluation of implemented projects/ programs, including transcriptions, under the supervision of the Regional Coordinator or Projects Coordinator as relevant;
Attend training with donors concerning narrative reporting requirements and compliance issues as and when needed;
Attend and participate in project activities and prepare briefs about them as well as minutes of meetings;
Support the provision of content for the website and social media platforms;

2- Administrative:

Act as host in online activities, monitor attendance, collect evaluations and generate summation reports;
Ensure proper projects’ and programs’ documentation under the supervision of the Projects or Regional Coordinators, including the compilation and documentation of training material and best practices, among others, as per the recommendations provided by management;
Secure quotations related to projects/ programs under the guidance of the Projects Coordinator, including quotations from venue providers, suppliers, and trainers;
Act as a member of the Procurement Committee as needed;
Prepare material for the institutional archive and share content with the Regional Coordinator for revision and approval;
Support programmatic branding, visibility, and media coverage in coordination with the Regional Coordinator and external consultants and under the supervision of the Projects Officer.

3- General:

Represent MENA Rosa in meetings upon need;
Assist in other related tasks as requested by the Projects and Regional Coordinators.

Competencies:

University degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, or related field;
At least 3 years of relevant experience;
Good communication skills;
Excellent Arabic and English writing skills.

Ability to handle pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work outside office hours and over the weekend
