ضمن مشاركته في المؤتمر العالمي الرابع والعشرون للحد من المخاطر 2015، الذي نظمته الجمعية العالمية للحد من المخاطر في كوالالمبور – ماليزيا، تلقى الناشط في شبكتي مينانبود وبريدج، السيد عبد الرحيم رجائي جائزة كارول وترفيس جنكنز التي تقدم للتعبير عن الشكر والامتنان للمساهمة الاساسية للأشخاص الذين يستخدمون المخدرات في برامج الحد من المخاطر.

MENAHRA Organizes a Meeting for MENA Representatives at the International Harm Reduction Conference

On the third day of the International Harm Reduction Conference, MENAHRA organized a side meeting for all participants from the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. The main objectives of the meeting were to network and discuss strategies for MENA representation at the upcoming 2016 United Nations General Assembly Special Session (UNGASS) on drugs.

The Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association (MENAHRA) was established in 2007 as a joint project for networking, capacity building, and developing model programs for HIV/Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) prevention and treatment targeted at PWID, with the collaboration of WHO and Harm Reduction International (HRI), under funding from Drosos Foundation. The association was later registered in Lebanon as an International Non-Governmental Organization in 2012 under the Presidential Decree number 7491.

MENAHRA Presents Religious Leaders Guide at the International Harm Reduction Conference

The 24th International Harm Reduction Conference in Kuala Lumpur, organized by Harm Reduction International (HRI), began its first day with a number of sessions on leadership and pioneering in harm reduction programs. The MENAHRA Network Coordinator, Ms. Micheline Abou Chrouch presented the MENAHRA Religious Leaders Guide in a session on Religious Perspective on Harm Reduction.
