Background OF MENAHRA:

The Middle East and North Africa Harm Reduction Association (MENAHRA) is a regional network on harm reduction covering 20 countries in the MENA region. The main goal of MENAHRA is to prolong and improve the quality of life of People Who Inject Drugs (PWID) through harm reduction approach in the region. Recognizing the crucial role of the civil society in delivering health services to key populations at increased risk, MENAHRA’s key strategy focuses on strengthening the role of civil society in implementing harm reduction interventions in the MENA region.

MENAHRA aims to support MENANPUD in developing its first strategic plan through a comprehensive consultative process that involved numerous stakeholders from the region, including civil society, community, and international partner representatives.

MENANPUD must have a clear strategic plan especially that MENHARA is working on registering MENANPUD in Lebanon. Therefore, there is a need to generate the organization’s structure in parallel with developing its strategic plan and revision of its mission and focus areas of work.

OBJECTIVES

Generate the organizational aspects of MENANPUD including the constitution and bylaws, organogram, strategic plan, reports, and other relevant documents
Identify the roles, skills, human resources, processes, partnerships, resource mobilization strategies, partnerships, and communication; in relation to the vision, objectives, and deliverables of MENANPUD
Identify clear indicators of success for the organization and articulate how the plan will achieve them
Consultant's profile

Education: Advanced University degree (Master’s Degree or equivalent) in Public Health, Research studies, International Relations, Humanitarian or Development Studies and/or Regional Studies, Project Management, Organizational Learning or any other related field.

Experience:

At least 5 – 10 years of professional experience in project management, developing and implementing research strategies, creating and analyzing financial and budget reports to improve the company's financial health, analyzing key performance indicators to help improve results. Experience in conducting studies in humanitarian settings such as evaluations, beneficiary surveys, lessons learned exercises, and responses.
Proven record of producing analytical papers and lessons learned reports is highly desirable.
Proven ability to work in a multicultural setting
The candidate should have excellent command of the English and Arabic language, both written and oral.

JOB CONDITIONS

Service location: Hayek Roundabout – BBAC Building, Third Floor – Sin El Fil, Lebanon

Online meetings are required especially with MENANPUD focal points

Starting date: September 21, 2020

Duration/ Type of contract: Consultancy contract
